Pushed Out in Idaho Falls

KIFI longtime Anchor Todd Kunz says that the company told him that they were not going to renew his contract when it comes up at the end of the month.

Kunz said he was told one week before Thanksgiving that they were letting him go. He waited until after Super Bowl and the large viewing audience, to tell viewers he’s out.

He’s been at the station for 25 years.

In case you missed it Sunday night after the Super Bowl…
I was informed by management one week before Thanksgiving that my TV contract would not be renewed. So after 34 years of broadcasting and 25 of those years at this location, I will be leaving Local News 8, KIDK CBS 3, and Fox 5 East Idaho February 28, 2025.
I absolutely must give a warm thank you to all the many loyal viewers and followers over the decades.
FAITH forward we go.
