Texas Weatherman Dies

KRIS-TV (Corpus Christi) reports that their longtime Meteorologist Matt Terhune has died. 

Terhune has battled brain cancer for years and unfortunately it took his life. 

Terhune had been with the station since 2001, was diagnosed with cancer in 2007.

Even after undergoing several surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy he had tried to continue his forecasting duties.

The father of two stepped away from the camera after his health worsened but even then continued to post forecasts on his Facebook page.

"I love being as accurate as I could possibly be, " he told the Caller-Times in 2015. "It's my favorite job."

Last year he also spoke about his faith and the encouragement he had received from so many supporters.
