Big Anchor Shake Up at Reno Station

A big Anchor shake up in America's Biggest Little City (Really that's what they call it).​

KRNV in Reno says that morning anchor Bill Frankmore and weathercaster Jen Wahl are joined by Kristina Nelson on News 4 Today from 5:00am to 7:00am. The change is effective Today

Kristina joined News 4 in January and has been anchoring News 4 at 11pm since early February. Kristina came to News 4 from KVAL in Eugene, Oregon where she was a reporter and fill-in weather anchor. Before Eugene she was a news anchor and reporter at KCBY in Coos Bay, Oregon. Kristina has been recognized by the Oregon Society of Professional Journalists for her feature reporting and photojournalism. Kristina was a member of the 2004 National Champion University of Southern California Water Polo team.

Elias Johnson takes over as anchor of News 4 at 11pm. Elias last reported for KPHO in Phoenix. He has also reported and anchored at stations in Iowa, WHO and KDSM. Elias’ reporting and videography have earned him national & regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, an Emmy Nomination, and National Press Photographer Association awards among others. Elias graduated from Arizona State University where he was a member of the 2006 Sun Devil PAC-10 championship wrestling team.

Longtime Reno journalists Joe Hart and Shelby Sheehan will continue to anchor and report for News 4 at 4, News 4 at 5 and News 4 at 6. Brandon Wholey is Chief Meteorologist delivering your 4cast on for News 4 at 4, 5, 6 and News 4 at 11. Bryan Samudio continues as News 4 Sports Director and Julia Lopez as Sports Anchor/Reporter. Melissa Carlson anchors and hosts the News 4 Forum at 11am with forecaster Jen Wahl. Frankmore, Carlson and Wahl will continue to anchor News 4 at Noon
