In a world of instant information, it seems odd that we are still using smoke signals to get the news out of the Catholic ​Church.

Instead of sending out a Tweet a Facebook post or I don't know just stepping outside and saying "Nope, nothing yet."

We get reporters going "Oh! Ohhh! Is it.. It's--! Oh. Oh. Nope. Totally looked white for a second."

We're all for tradition and all, but breaking news through smoke signals seems just a bit odd.​

Than again...that's just us.... ​
