New York Anchor Busted for Choking His Anchor Wife
/WCBS Morning Anchor Rob Morrison, a morning news anchor for was arrested for choking his wife after police say he “became increasingly belligerent” toward her during an argument.
And he wasn't done with the threats even after cops clamped the cuffs on him. Police say while he was processed, officers claim to have heard Morrison threaten to harm his wife even further.
His wife, Ashley Morrison, is also a news anchor for CBS, co-hosting the company’sMoneyWatch program.
Morrison was released from custody after posting a $100,000 bond. He faces felony strangulation and misdemeanor threatening and disorderly conduct charges.
Darien Police received a phone call from Ashley’s mother, who told them a fight was happening at her daughter’s home at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17. Police arrived and saw red marks on Ashley’s neck, and reported Rob used both hands to choke her. It’s unclear if Ashley required medical attention.
Rob Morrison has court on Tuesday, Feb. 19.
