B-More GM Ignores Staff

We got an email from an insider at WJZ, the CBS O&O in Baltimore. The staffer said that, “The General Manager, Kathy Hostetter, appears to engage more with her former stations in Indianapolis and Louisville on X than with the one she currently leads.”

So, we jumped on her Twitter (X) account and sure enough, look at the repost at the top of here feed.

The GM of the CBS station in Baltimore seems more interested in offering up news from Kentucky.

“There have been numerous big news events, such as the anniversary of the Key Bridge Collapse, Orioles Opening Day and several winter weather events with zero retweets from any of the (WJZ) talent,” the insider said.

While this might not seem like a big deal to Hostetter, it is having an impact on those who are currently working for her.

“Many at the station have noticed this and feel upset and discouraged. There’s a sense that their own GM isn’t supporting them, especially when she’s more actively promoting content from other stations,” said a station employee.

Maybe it’s time for the GM to focus on where she currently lives and not where she was in the past.
