Seven days ago, FTVLive told you about how WDJT (Milwaukee) Meteorologist Sam Kuffel was fired after a vulgar post about Elon Musk.

Six days ago, FTVLive told you how many in the newsroom believe that WDJT News Director Jessie Garcia’s handling of the firing and her actions afterwards have been awful.

An employee told FTVLive, “She (Garcia) forced other employees to man the phones all day and night to handle the calls the station received, pulling nightside reporters off stories to do so, and refusing to answer them herself and lock herself away in her office. She also didn’t explain the situation to any employees, nor offer any help or guidance….”

A station insider now tells FTVLive that “the president of Weigel Broadcasting (WDJT owners) made his first trip to Milwaukee in perhaps decades today to meet with employees upset about Jessie Garcia’s poor crisis management skills after Sam Kuffel’s firing.”

To ad insult to injury, we hear that a beer company is taking out an anti WDJT billboard located across the street from the station.

This is a mess and right now, it appears no one knows how to clean it up.
