It’s amazing what some bad press, and some advertiser backlash can do.

Two sources tell FTVLive that Allen Media is reversing course and pulling the plug on this idea of getting rid of the local Meteorolgists and hubbing weather reports out of the Weather Channel.

We don’t know if this is reversal is being done across all Allen Media stations, but we were told it is happening at the AMG in Wisconsin.

Allen has been hammered since FTVLive FIRST reported their plan to dump the local forecasters and use the Weather Channel to prerecord weather hits for their stations.

Some advertisers have pulled spots in response to Allen Media’s actions.

While bad press can have an impact, lost advertisers is even more effective on this money hungry people.
