At Scripps’ WCPO in Cincy, Meteorologist K.J. Jacobs made his debut on the station’s morning newscast as the new weekday morning traffic anchor.

Jacobs, formerly the weekend evening meteorologist at Charlotte’s WCNC-TV, replaces Raven Richard, who transitioned to a full-time forecasting role in New Orleans.

WCPO GM Jeff Brogan says, “Traffic is still important to our audience, so we feel having one person dedicated to traffic reporting needs to be part of Good Morning Tri-State.”

But using the Met to do traffic?

Jacobs joins Kristen Skovira, as well as meteorologist Jennifer Ketchmark.

So does Jacobs get to do any forecasts, or is he just the traffic guy?
