New Orleans Sports Director Suffers Heart Attack

WGNO Sports Director Ed Daniels suffered a heart attack and is in a Southern California hospital recovering.

Daniels was in SoCal covering the New Orleans Saints training camp. His family has announced a rosary for him later today.

The station said, “Our beloved sports director suffered a serious medical emergency over the weekend in California.”

Daniels has been the Nexstar station’s Sports Director since 1992.
