From Reporter to News Director

There are a lot of Reporters out there that think they can run the newsroom better than their News Director.

One Atlanta Reporter is going to try and cross that line.

WXIA Investigative Reporter Jeremy Campbell is leaving the Atlanta station after six years to take the News Director job at WBIR in Knoxville.

His colleague Brendan Keefe said Campbell “is one of the most innovative storytellers in our craft. He is precisely the kind of leader we need at the helm of our newsrooms as we strive to tell more compelling stories on multiple platforms. It’s about a standard of excellence. Jeremy’s absence will be felt at 11Alive, but we are excited to witness the innovative ideas he will deliver to an already outstanding newsroom in Knoxville.”

Sounds like Keefe is bucking for the Assistant News Director job.

Just kidding…
