Sinclair could be Lone Bidder for Regional Sports Networks

When Disney bought a huge portion of Fox properties, it included the Fox Regional Sports Networks.

Disney agreed to get the deal to go through that they would spin off the RSN’s to help get the deal approved.

There were rumors that “New Fox” might be interested in buying back the sports nets, but Fox came out and said they were not interested.

So, it appears that Sinclair might be the lone bidder in the RSN’s. But it is likely that they will need to team up with someone to get the money to make the deal happen.

CNBC reported at one point that Amazon might be interested in the RSN’s, but that is not correct.

CNBC’s David Faber went on the air, talked about the deal and buried his correction about Amazon being involved.
