Time for the LA Stations to Jump on the Bike

When it comes to trends, let's be honest TV news is always slow to pick up on them.

Couple of examples. Pokemon Go was "a thing" for months before TV news started jumping on the story. Same thing with fidget spinners.

FTVLive got on Twitter in 2007, try and find someone else in TV that was on Twitter before 2009.

It won't be easy.

While TV news is just catching up on the electric car, the electric bike is really coming on and the next "must have" bike is called the Super 73 and it is made by a LA based company called Lithium Cycles.

They are making a bike that looks sort of like the old mini-bikes of the 70's. The retro look is going to give the older generation a flashback to their youth and the younger gen is going to love how different it looks.

Will Smith, Jamie Fox and a number of other big stars have already been seen riding the Super 73 and there has been lost of press about the "toy of Summer" but not from TV stations. Basically none of the LA stations have featured this red-hot LA company with the "next big thing."

Lithium Cycles even took to social media to called out KABC for not showing up to the party.

So which LA station will be first to get around to a story that has been featured just about everywhere but LA news?

BTW- FTVLive would love to get our own Super 73, but at almost $2000 a bike, it's a bit much for us. If we do land one, fully expect to see it featured on the new FTVLive Vlog.

Stay tuned...
