Hannity: This is a Kill Shot

Sean Hannity is worried that the same thing that happened to Bill O'Reilly could be happening to him.

The Fox News Channel host, who has seen at least seven advertisers jump ship recently, blamed progressive media.

Hannity has been under fire for promoting the Seth Rich conspiracy murder theory and now he claims the liberal media is trying to shut him up.

“There’s nothing that I did, nothing that I said, except they don’t like my position politically,” he told the Huffington Post.

“They’ll try to ratchet up the intensity of their rationale. It does not justify an attempt to get me fired. And that’s what this is. This is an attempt to take me out. This is a kill shot.”

As of last night, seven advertisers, including Cars.com, Casper, USAA and Crowne Plaza Hotels, had dropped Hannity.

The FNC host said some of the blame goes to Media Matters, which started a campaign called “Know What You’re Sponsoring” that listed Hannity’s advertisers.

“There is an attempt, at this moment in time, to absolutely shut down the Fox News Channel and render it, frankly, a shadow of its former self. I’m like the last, sole remaining person there from the old guard,” he told the Huffington Post, saying that pressuring advertisers can “silence the voice.”

“Maybe they think that they’ll be able to mount my head on a trophy and put it in their living room somewhere. But what is the net impact of all of this?”
