Your Story is Incorrect

Yesterday, FTVLive told you about WWBT (Richmond) Reporter Eric Perry and about a tweet he posted that shames Producers.

Perry emailed FTVLive and had this to say,

There is an article on your website The Guy Producers Love to Hate and it is totally incorrect. If you would have grabbed the full tweet with the Cardi B meme you would have seen it was a joke. The Cardi B Meme has been circulating around twitter (http://www.latina.com/10-best-young-cardi-memes-prove-everyone-needs-little-cardi-b) and I took the moment to add to the humor and provide a news joke. I have NEVER gone around a producer in my career. Your story doesn't even include the full tweet and paints the story and myself incorrectly. I am asking this incorrect story be taken down immediately and a correction as well.

This is the tweet that we posted in the story:

Now, here is the entire tweet that Mr. Perry says we should have posted:

Wow! That really clears things up doesn't it? Yes that's Sarcasm.

Here is a couple of responses that were made in the tweet:

So basically, Perry's tweet shamed News Producers in a tweet around 9:30AM and at 6PM he posted a reply that he wasn't talking about his "new" station.

Not everyone was in on the "Cardi B Meme" and when you said "me" silly people thought you were talking about you. Also, just to let you know, not everyone has time to go in and read the replies to each and every tweet on Twitter.

No matter what, you tweet was directed at people that work their ass off producing the news and you tried to poke fun at them, meme or not.

Mr. Perry, you have every right to do that and I and others have every right to call you out for doing that.

This is America and not Russia....or at least not yet.

I'm sorry man, if I was an ND, you would still be on my "do not hire list."

But again....that's just me.
