Hoda and Kathy Lee Want Megyn's Time Slot

There is no doubt that the Megyn Kelly experiment at NBC has been a bust.

On January 4, 2017, FTVLive wrote this about NBC's plans to have Kelly host a daytime talk show on the Peacock:

Katie Couric and Meredith Vieira both had daytime talkshows and both failed.
Kelly's ego makes her believe it will be different for her.
It won't be.
This experiment will fail.

Word is that Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford are now lobbying network executives to move Kelly's failing show to 10AM and move their show to 9AM.

"Hoda and Kathie Lee told executives that their family-friendly show should be on at 9 a.m. because Megyn's talk show is not a good fit," A source tells InTouch. "It never really was."

Sources tell FTVLive that the NBC suits are hesitant to move Kelly back to 10AM because they know it will  cause her ratings to fall even further. Right now, some viewers are sitting through Megyn Kelly's show, just waiting to get to Hoda and Kathie Lee. If NBC moves Kelly back and hour, those viewers will also be gone.

As for Kelly? "The network gave her a shot," the source said. "But, she's just not daytime material."

Just as we predicted a year and a half ago.
