LA Manager Dies Suddenly

Some very sad news for one LA newsroom. 

KTLA Operations Manager Pat O’Keefe died in his sleep last night. O’Keefe has been with the LA Tribune station since 2004, coming from sister station WGN in Chicago. 

Here is the internal email, obtained by FTVLive that was sent out to the KTLA newsroom.

KTLA family,
 
I have some very sad news.  Our friend and colleague Pat O’Keefe passed away this morning.  I’m told he passed in his sleep.
Pat has been with our family since moving to LA from Chicago in 2004.  He has been with the Tribune since 1996.  I don’t have to tell any of you how much of a loss this is to KTLA.
Pat was an innovator, extremely hard worker, and good man and we will all miss him.
 
Our thoughts and prayers are with his children, Patrick and Erin.
 
As soon as I have more details I will pass them along.
