Want to buy a Reporter's used Coat?

WOIO Investigative Reporter Carl Monday is selling the coat off his back. 

The Cleveland Reporter thinks people will want to bid on his used trench coat....because.....well.... I have no idea. 

So, Monday is auctioning off his trench coat to support nonprofit public television in northeast Ohio. 

WOIO says, "Needle and thread. Peanut butter and jelly. Pen and paper. Some things just go together like trench coat and Carl Monday. The infamous trench coat is synonymous with the Cleveland 19 chief investigator and now it could be yours."

"The trench coat to me feels like an old pair of jeans. I feel comfortable in it," Monday said. "And on many a day ... it also keeps me dry!"

No shit? Who knew that a coat can also keep you dry?

Stand back people....I'm bidding on this!

The station is also auctioning off lunch with Hall of Fame Reporter Paul Orlousky.

Maybe I'll bid on that as well and wear my new (old) trench coat when I go.
