Many are crying foul after Nexstar owned WVNS (Bluefield, WV) did a story about High School students supposedly walking out of an event that was to honor Veterans.

The station reported that dozens of Greenbrier East High School students left school early before their annual Veteran's Day ceremony. The story added, "Seeing the empty table left many veterans with teary eyes thinking of their fellow comrades. Donald Fury served in the Army and said it was hard to hold back tears. "It brought me to tears when I think about those that gave all. Some gave like myself, but some gave all," Fury said."

But, a check of the station's Facebook page, shows many viewers claiming fake news.

A woman that works in the school also says that the story was not correct.

As of this posting, the story remains on the WVNS website and the station has not issued any comment.
