WHEC News Director Casey Clark is done watching his Reporters and crews take the easy way out.

The Rochester News Director has told the staff that he is now banning PIO’s and other spokespeople from the newscast (except in emergency cases involving public safety).

"Reporters are not mic stands. We need to reclaim our constitutionally protected position in society and it starts by holding those in power accountable for their decisions and their actions," Clark tells FTVLive.

FTVLive applauds this action and hopes that other stations will follow Clark's lead.
