Judge Sentences Man to 39 Years for Trying to Kill Anchor

It appears that a San Diego Anchor can rest easy, at least for the next 39 years anyway.

That's how long a judge has sentenced house painter Mike Montana to prison after he attempted to kill KFMB Sports Anchor Kyle Kraska (pictured).

Superior Court Judge Michael Smyth said Wednesday that Montana continues to be a danger to society (ya think?) and is putting him away for nearly 4 decades.

A jury convicted Montana last month of premeditated attempted murder after he gun down Kraska in the driveway of his home.

Kraska was shot four times.
