When Bill Kurtis and Walter Jacobson signed off at WBBM in Chicago, the station scripted a farewell send off for the two.​

What the station didn't say, is they pushed the two Anchor legends out the door. ​

Bill Kurtis and Walter Jacobson appeared on WTTW's 'Chicago Tonight' and sat down with Carol Marin.  Both confirmed that neither had any desire or intention to retire from WBBM.

In other words the station fired them. ​

But at least they gave them a nice cake as they pushed their asses out the door.​
