Reporter Sues After Covering Train Derailment

About a year ago, a train derailed in East Palestine, Ohio and WKBN Reporter Anna Marsick was assigned to cover the story.

Marsick is now suing the rail-line, and is seeking in excess of $1 million, along with punitive damages, attorney fees and costs for personal injuries from exposure to the toxic fumes.

In her suit, Marsick makes claims of negligence and liability and said she was “exposed to dangerous and/or deadly fumes, toxins, and particulate matter in the air and water and required medical care from illness caused therefrom and as a result of the permanent nature of her injuries will be caused to incur future medical damages, illness and premature death.”
