Yesterday, FTVLive told you that the weekend weather at Tegna’s WHAS was not produced or presented from Louisville.

Word is that the forecast was produced and anchored from 422 miles away at WXIA in Atlanta.

According to the WHAS’s website, the Tegna station only has two Meteorologists on staff, and it appears that it will stay that way.

A source tells FTVLive that, “Atlanta is providing weekend weather to Lexington from now on.”

The farming out of weather seems to be the new thing in 2025. It’s sad to see media companies ditch local weather people all in an effort to save money.
