So much for viewer safety…

On Saturday evening a tornado warning was issued for parts of the Memphis Area.

Tegna’s WATN did what every station should do and broke into programing with the warning.

But then, they did something I haven’t seen before.

While the tornado warning was in effect, WATN started doing their regular newscast.They even went to commercial breaks during the tornado warning!!!!

They might have well just said, “Look you’re in danger, but first a word from our sponsors.”

At 6:30 PM WATN went back to severe weather coverage.

This was cray and downright dangerous for the viewing public. I know the FCC is pretty much a sham right now, but I hope they look into this.
