Out at Tegna

As part of the Tegna cuts, KARE (Minnenapolis) Community Affairs Director and Noon Anchor Alexis Rogers is now out of a job.

Here is part of her post to social media last week.

“Tomorrow, will be my last day at KARE 11 as the Community Relations Manager and Noon Show Anchor. The company is making some national changes that have impacted my role. While this wasn’t the timeline I imagined, I am so grateful for the journey.

This move brought so many blessings into my life—like finally being in the same city as my husband (no more long distance!). I’ve worked with some of the most talented, kind, and inspiring people in the business, many of whom have become dear friends.

It’s been an absolute dream to lead community initiatives, revamp KARE 11’s community strategy, build a noon show focused on amplifying voices, and tell stories that matter. In a short amount of time, we accomplished so much, and I couldn’t be prouder of the impact we’ve had together.

To every person who shared their story, wisdom, time, or talents with me and KARE, thank you. You’ve made this experience unforgettable.

I’m not sure what’s next for me, but I’m excited to see where this new chapter leads. My career has always been a journey of uncovering purpose in new ways, and I trust this next step will be no different. I will still be doing the rewarding work of my non profit Lisa’s Girls and my speaking business!”
