Former CNN Anchor Aaron Brown has Died

Aaron Brown, the acclaimed former CNN anchor known for his seminal coverage of the September 11 attacks and for shaping the network’s evening news format, passed away on Sunday at the age of 76, his family confirmed. Brown's distinguished career began in local television in Seattle before he became the founding anchor of ABC’s “World News Now” and later anchored “World News Tonight Saturday.”

Brown joined CNN and became renowned for his incisive reporting. From 2001 to 2005, he anchored “NewsNight,” a program lauded for its blend of breaking news and in-depth analysis.
