The sad news that Sports Broadcaster Greg Gumbel lost his battle with cancer on Friday.

Gumbel got his start working at WMAQ in Chicago. He worked there in the 1970s and that’s where he got his start in sports broadcasting.

It would have been nice if WMAQ had spelled his name correctly in their story about him.
