This is Cable News
Yesterday, I sent out this tweet in frustration:
It has gotten so bad in cable news these days, it is like CNN and MSNBC has taken the side of the Dayton shooter and Fox News is on the side of the El Paso shooter.
Who ever would have thought that cable news would break up into teams to side with mass killers?
The two sides are lobbing insults back and forth at each other while the entire focus has been lost.
I don’t give a crap if the shooter in Texas was a white supremacist. I could care less if the idiot in Dayton was a radical liberal. What I care about, is both of these guys were able to buy guns and use them to kill over 30 people.
While cable news fights over which shooter was more evil because of their political beliefs, 30 families are making arrangements on how to bury their loved ones.
Do any of these cable networks think that maybe, just maybe their ongoing rhetoric has led to these shootings.
Anyone?
The issue is guns…. it’s not video games… it’s not political beliefs….it’s GUNS!
What do we need to do to stop letting the guns get into the hands of people like this?
That is where cable news on all sides should focus their reporting. They should be holding politicians accountable and making sure that they do something.
Look at the gun problem in this country and compare it to the rest of the world. If you don’t think there is a problem, you’re a complete idiot.
Maybe cable news could help fix this problem, if they just stopped worrying about politics and start demanding the politicians to do something.
And have some sympathy for the people that were shot and killed.
Whether it was by your guy, or theirs.
