FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that KCCI Weatherman Former Frank Scaglione was being accused of being a sexual predator to teenage boys.

The Des Moines station parted ways with Scaglione as FTVLive started asking questions about his behavior?

But, now one has to wonder why the station took so long to take action?

Over a year ago, Scaglione was told by the Waukee school district that he was not allowed on any school property, due to the fact that he reportedly had "inappropriate conduct" with high school students.

The school district sent him a certified letter, informing him he was banned from school grounds.

How did his bosses at the station not know this? Did they not look at his social media and see his predatory behavior?

Years ago he was posting tweets such as this one, did that not send up a red flag?

Here is the letter he got from the school district telling him to stay away:

It seems that management at the Hearst owned station might have turned a blind eye to Scaglione's actions and it might open the station up to a number of lawsuits in the future.

If I was Hearst, I would be looking very closely at how this happened and it took so long before KCCI took any action?
