Sinclair Posting on Employee's Social Media as Them

Sources at Sinclair tell FTVLive that the company has asked it's News Directors and news staff for their log in and password information for their social media.

It seems that Sinclair wants to post as the News Director or staffer from time to time about job openings and other company business.

But, when they post, they post as they are the person, even though they have nothing to do with the post.

Check out this tweet from KMPH (Fresno) News Director Jim Turpin:

Do these people really love working at Sinclair?

Why is the company posting as them?

Posting the job is one thing, but adding the "I love working at Sinclair...." is just more "fake news."

My advice is no one should give your station or company you social media information. You need to own your social media and not give up control.

Will Sinclair soon be tweeting out which way people should vote on their employees' accounts. This is a slippery slope and the best thing you can do is change for password and tell Scott Livingston and the gang to stay the hell out of your account.
