Nexstar Tells Raleigh Staff to Hang Up.....

FTVLive FIRST told you that Nexstar was pulling the plug on many employees station issued phones.

Sources tell FTVLive that at Nexstar's WNCN (Raleigh) a meeting was called at 3PM yesterday.

The staff was told in the meeting, that the company was changing it's policy on employees cellphones.

Sources say that employees were told that they can keep their smart phones but will now have to pay for their own service. They can choose whatever service they want but they will have to pay for it out of their  own pockets.

Nexstar did offer each person a $50 stipend (taxed though) a month to help employees pay there bill.

But, as anyone that owns an iPhone knows, that less than $50 will not cover the cost of the plan.

Staff says that they use their station issue phones to set up stories, post to their social media like they are asked and use the map feature to figure out where they are going.

Now, Nexstar wants the staff to help pay for doing their job.

Some insiders tell FTVLive that they will bypass the company phone and stick with their personal phone, which they vow they will barely use for their job.

Has anyone seen a payphone?
