Drunk Driver Takes Out Reno Station's News Vehicles

Last week, KOLO in Reno was preparing to do a live shot from downtown.

A suspected drunk driver smashed into their news car which was parked behind the live truck. The driver then back up and started to pull away at a high rate of speed, when he then smashed into the live truck.

At that point, he left his car in the middle of the road, got out walked over to the parking meter like he was going to pay for parking. Then he walked across the street laid down on the sidewalk and went to sleep. 

A KOLO photog caught much of all this on video, but did not turn on the sound. It's worth the watch and it shows that you never know what you're going to run into (or get run into) while covering the news.
