Obama May Give Many TV Folks A Raise

President Obama is proposing to change who is eligible for overtime. Right now, if you're a salaried employee making $23,600 or less, you're entitled to overtime. The new proposal would raise the threshold to $50,440. That will affect a lot of people in TV.

The White House hopes to have the reform in place by 2016, which will get pretty interesting for an election year. It will mean a lot of TV folks working in newsrooms will love the president, while the execs in the big corner offices running the stations will hate it.

The Huffington Post has a lot of facts and figures.

Unfortunately, it doesn't say anything about intern pay.
