We're guessing you can call this the new version of Current TV.
Instead of standing on the shore and telling viewers how dangerous rip currents can be, WPTV (West Palm Beach) Reporter Ryan Calhoun decided to do some "look at me TV".
Calhoun wadded into the ocean waters and into a rip current that pulled him out to deeper waters.
He was with a lifeguard when he did it and it's a good thing. He needed the lifeguard to help him out.
